Why we built ListingSplit.

In the spring of 2024 new rules were introduced to the real estate industry and some of those changes concerned the way incentives were structured and communicated.

Some of these changes created a lack of transparency and eliminated a well-established way of communicating these seller-initiated incentives.

By creating an incentives-based platform that works in harmony within the newly established guidelines, ListingSplit.com is real estate’s leading site for incentives and transparency.

Steven Hattan

Steven Hattan is a naval war veteran from the first Gulf War. He has also been a real estate broker since 1994. with over 6,000 transactions in residential sales, as an Illinois licensed loan officer, real estate paralegal and photographer/ videographer.

Steven turned his knowledge, experience, and expertise to solve a new challenge regarding seller incentives that has challenged licensed Realtors and real estate consumers across the nation.

Ed Ellingham

Ed Ellingham has been in design, development, and IT for over 20 years. He’s worked with clients of all sizes, all over the world, with a unique drive for solving problems.

Presented with a unique challenge to help Realtors, home sellers, and home buyers with a hurdle thrust upon them, holding the buyer responsible to pay their agent out of pocket, he helped build ListingSplit.com.

Being personally aware of the struggles a home buyer goes through to reach their dreams of home ownership, he worked with Steve to develop a platform that helps keep the American Dream of owning a home a reality.
